There are 250 countries in the world and each one of them has their own unique identity, Either as Different flag, Population count, Area, Capital & many other such attributes, and these attributes are very much important to remember for the aspiring students who are preparing for competitive exams and also it is very important for the school/College students to increase the horizon of their GK.
World Flags app is here to help such students in their studies by providing this vital information on their phones.This app provides all the important informations about the countries of the world.
At the times it is very much confusing to distinguish flags of the countries, because most of them are tri-colours, major of them have either 3/4 strips of colour, many of them differ only by count of stars on them and many such confusing small details which makes it hard for the kids to remember. World flags app can be your friend to overcome such problems and it can help you to remember needful info by providing the “QUIZ-PLAYGROUND” in the app to test your knowledge.
It contains all information about a Country’s Flag, Capital, Continent, Currency, Population, Area, Languages, Borders, Time-Zones, LAT-LNG etc.
App contains majorly three sections, Which can be navigated or opened from the bottom navigation bar :-
1. Today’s Country :- This sections displays 10 random country cards. Each card contains Flag photo, Capital Name, Area, Continent & Sub continent(If Available), Population, Time-Zones, Currency(Symbol, Name, Code).
This section refreshes & loads 10 new unique country cards each time user opens it from bottom navigation bar. To navigate to the next and previous cards user should swipe up and swipe down respectively on the screen.
2. All Countries :- This section lists all the countries(250) of the world. User can scroll up and down to view all list. Each card contains Flag photo, Country Name and Capital Name.
This section also provides search facility. User can search for a Country using search bar and check all available info about the selected country from the search results. User can search by tapping and writing any one of Country name, Capital name, Continent or Sub-Continent. The list below the search bar will auto update on every character type.This will be the filtered list from the main list.
This section also contains a sub-section which can be opened by tapping the country cards from the all countries list. It is a detailed view of the selected country from the list. It contains Flag photo on the top and all other available info about the selected country on scroller views(Vertical and Horizontal).
3. Quiz :- This section is provided to test your knowledge with quizzes.. User can select quiz type from here and can enter into the quiz playground section. Each quiz contains 5 questions.
Currently below mentioned type of quizzes are available in the app.
A.) Flag Quiz :- In this quiz user is asked to select the right Flag for the given country name as question.
B.) Capital Quiz :- In this quiz user is asked to select the right Capital for the given country name as question.
C.) Continent Quiz :- In this quiz user is asked to select the right Continent for the given country name as question.
D.) Random Quiz :- In this type App is gonna select randomly any one of above mentioned quiz types(A, B, C) and further flow will be decided according to selected type.
Each question contains 2 options out of which user have to tap one option to mark his/her answer. Visually, Options are placed on the bottom and top of screen and the question is placed at centre of the screen.
Learning Flag types, Capital names & Currency can be fun and insightful & by using this app that fun can be doubled
